My name is Rebecca Elfast and I am a freelance illustrator/pattern designer based in Gothenburg, Sweden, where I live with my husband and two children. I have a degree in architecture, but I started my freelance business right after I graduated in 2008.
My style is diverse, I work with a flexible and dynamic mix of digital and hand made techniques. Ink, watercolor, stylus, iPad and tablet.
I make illustrations and patterns that are well crafted, visually strong and often contain a playful element.
My work often ends up in magazines, books and other printed matter, but also on wallpaper, packaging, supplement jars, swimwear and home textiles.
When I draw people and everyday situations, I always aim to include a broad variety of people.
